National Hurricane Center monitors low pressure disturbance

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a low pressure system off the coast of Florida.

A trough over the Bahamas has a 20 percent chance of developing into a tropical depression in the next five days as it slowly travels toward the Florida Peninsula.

This system may bring elevated rain to our local area, but an organized system is not a threat to the Big Bend and South Georgia.
