Storm Team Wednesday morning forecast (2/27/2013)

Posted

Your Wednesday will be much smoother in the weather world than the last several days. The front that brought Tuesday’s storms will keep moving east into the Atlantic but behind it, the winds continue to whip. Gusts through the afternoon may push 15mph with a good mix of clouds and sun. Meanwhile, highs will climb into the mild zone, near 70°. Tonight, it’ll feel like winter again; lows will be in the low 40s by tomorrow morning. There’s no major rain in the forecast through the weekend, however, we will have a series of cold fronts move through. The first happens Thursday night into Friday; that works to drop highs into the 50s and lows into the 30s. The second happens Saturday, that’s when the major blast of arctic air rushes in. Highs Saturday and Sunday won’t get out of the low 50s with lows well into the 20s and 30s. Freezes are likely, even in cities and beaches, so start thinking about how to protect your plants. Our next chance for rain comes by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.

Be safe and have a great Wednesday!
