Storm Team Wednesday evening forecast (04/30/2014)

Posted

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Many areas near the tri-state region and the western Big Bend have received over two inches of rain today, on top of two or more accumulated yesterday.  Grounds are saturated, and additional rain may further worsen local flooding issues.  Unfortunately, higher-than-usual rain chances will continue for a few more days, though the severe storm factor will be gone and the future rain activity should not be as intense as the recent past.  Still, another one to two inches are in the forecast through Friday, and some instances of flash flooding may happen if extreme downpours occur tonight or tomorrow.  Evening and overnight temps will remain in the mid and upper 60s, and highs will be capped mainly in the 70s Thursday.  A few breaks of sunshine may allow warming into the 80° range.  Off-and-on rain is expected as the current cold front will be slow to depart through the weekend.
