MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

The pattern hasn't changed very much, with the production of scattered storms favoring western zones near the coastal seabreeze front and surrounding the Apalachicola River.  Showers and storms are moving mainly to the northeast and may carry heavy rain and briefly strong gusty winds.  Most of the activity will wind down before midnight, the clouds will begin to break, and temperatures will fall back into the mid 70s for lows.  Nature's "reset" button will basically be pressed overnight, and a similar pattern of morning heating and sunshine with abundant moisture will lead to more scattered shower and storm development by the afternoon.  Highs will be in the 90s, but how high in the 90s will depend on cloud and rain coverage and timing.  We'll contend with areas of spotty daytime storms through the rest of this week, then an upper high over the mid-South region may try to reduce the number of local storms while increasing temperatures early next week.
