Storm Team Thursday morning forecast (04/03/2014)

TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) -- Only a couple days of relatively calm weather left in the forecast before conditions become wetter this weekend.  Dense fog around the Big Bend and extreme South Georgia this morning ahead of our next cold front.  That'll burn off by late morning and expect plenty of sun heading into the afternoon.  Some patchy fog will form late tonight and we'll transition into your Friday with partly sunny skies as our next weather system moves into the southeast.  Saturday is when I expect some scattered rain and possibly rogue strong thunderstorms to fire up.  That frontal boundary stalls out over the FL/GA border causing some persistent rains and possible flooding on Sunday.  By Monday, another system moves through the deep south and we combine both threats: we could see some flooding and severe storms with high wind gusts and some hail possible. We'll keep you posted on this active weather as it approaches. - Max Tsaparis
