Storm Team Thursday evening forecast (06/01/2017)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

A source of vast tropical moisture will drive the increasing potential for showers and thunderstorms in the region over the next several days.  A weak frontal system will further weaken, while another cold front to the north of the region will likely have minor effects in the overall coverage of scattered to numerous daytime rainy areas.  The upper-level flow will maintain a generally weak atmosphere and support easier shower and storm formation, but a void of any strong disturbances will keep the severe weather threat low.  Lows tonight will be in the lower 70s, and highs will be in the mid 80s to low 90s Friday.  Over the weekend, periods of sunshine are forecast, but extra clouds will likely interfere with the brightness of the sky.  Occasional heavy rain will be possible into early next week.
