TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Much like the last few days, rain and thunderstorms will remain in the forecast to being our next work week. an area of low pressure is slowly moving east across Texas toward the Mississippi Gulf of Mexico. What little is left of Tropical Storm Beatriz is also slowly moving through the Gulf. Models have forecast that the remnants of the storm will be absorbed into the low pressure from Texas. This just means that the low pressure may pick up a little more rain and thunder. That is not expected to arrive until Tuesday, bringing with it that rain and thunder.

Tonight, much like last night, rain and storm chances will decrease after sunset. There is a very small chance that we may see an isolated shower overnight, other than that, conditions should be fairly quiet tonight. We'll have calm winds and overnight lows in the lower 70s.

Monday starts the work week with the same weather pattern we've had on hand...cloudy morning with scattered afternoon rain and thunderstorms. At this time, we are not expecting severe weather. Daytime highs are still expected to reach the mid and upper 80s with a light southwest wind, 5 mph. Monday night will be a repeat of tonight...decreasing rain chances after sunset, cloudy skies, and lows near 72 degrees.
