Storm Team Monday morning forecast (2/18/2013)

Posted

There was plenty of cold air to go around this morning; lows fell into the 20s and 30s everywhere. High pressure is still in control meaning tons of sun for you this afternoon and highs inching back into the low 60s. Our winds will shift and be more from the south/southeast pulling in a taste of humidity later on, that’ll help it be not so raw for you. Tonight, more clouds come in but the rain stays away and temperatures still fall into the 40s. A cold front will move from west to east across the region tomorrow afternoon bringing with it a line of showers and isolated thunderstorms. Highs ahead of it will be much warmer, in the low 70s. This front is a quick mover; it’ll be gone by Wednesday morning. We’ll see a brief lull in rain action Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the 60s and 70s with lows in the 30s and 40s. Currently, Friday and the weekend look a bit unsettled with at least scattered storms each day but a major warm up is in store; we’ll be at 75° by Friday.

Be safe and have a great Monday!
