Posted

This morning will feature temperatures in the low 50’s and lots of cloud cover streaming in from the west. The sun will break through by noon, allowing temperatures to warm to the 70 degree mark this afternoon. A frontal boundary will lift northward from the Gulf of Mexico overnight, allowing some fog to develop after 3am, especially in low-lying areas.  The boundary will work its way to the northern reaches of the viewing area by tomorrow afternoon, triggering a 20% chance of showers in the northern and western parts of the forecast area. An unsettled pattern will continue through the week, with low rain chances near 20-30% each day and temperatures almost 10 degrees above average – highs could approach the 80 degree mark on Thursday. Another frontal system will pass through our area over the weekend, increasing rain chances even more to near 40%.
