Storm Team Monday morning forecast (2/4/2013)

and last updated

We have one more cool and beautiful day here in the region, but winter takes a break starting tomorrow. A low level disturbance is developing over Texas with a warm front stretching through the Florida Panhandle. This system will drift eastward today bringing a steady diet of cirrus clouds and mild temperatures; rain stays west. Highs Monday will reach into the middle to upper 60s with a few close to 70°. Lows tonight, thanks to a little wind and more clouds will only fall into the mid 40s, warm for this time of year. Slightly unsettled is the best way to describe the next week in the weather world. Starting tomorrow a number of weak upper disturbances will increase cloudiness and spark a few showers everyday through Friday. This rain won’t be drought busting or plan cancelling stuff, but it will be enough to pop umbrellas and dot windshields. Meanwhile, warm weather lovers rejoice, highs will be back into the low 70s Wednesday through the weekend.
