MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

A temporary warm spell is underway, influenced by southerly winds and some subtropical high-pressure ridging aloft.  The heat streak will be broken soon by an approach of the next cold front.  It will bring showers and some thunder into the area by Wednesday, but until then, we'll deal with overnight dense fog rolling in from the bay and the Gulf, followed by partial clearing Tuesday afternoon.  Lows will be limited to the mid 50s, then highs rebound back into the 70s.  Lingering clouds may prevent some areas from reaching 80°.  The midweek unsettledness may create a brief chance for active thunderstorms, then general rain slowly departs Thursday as temps fall below average.  We will close the work week on a sunny, cool note.
