Storm Team Monday evening forecast (07/20/2015)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

We are encountering opposing forces that have tended to limit or delay storm action ... an ongoing upper-level high over most of the Deep South, versus abundant moisture around the Gulf coast region.  A lot of this moisture is falling in the form of heavier, spotty downpours in the Suwannee River valley, but a modest wind boundary from the shore is making slow progress inland.  This, plus a few popcorn-type thunderstorms in interior south Georgia, will be enough to keep a slight chance for nighttime rain and thunder in parts of the region.  Lows tonight will be in the middle 70s, and tomorrow will reach the low to mid 90s and overall rain and storm coverage should be near or just slightly below average, but may be present along coastal zones in the early morning before refocusing inland later in the day.
