Storm Team Monday evening forecast (02/09/2015)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

A relatively minor cold front in the Deep South is pushing into a rather mild, moistening air mass.  This combination is creating patches of cloudiness and spots of rain.  Coverage of showers and storms is limited, but those that occur can cause heavy downpours, some lightning, and quick wind gusts.  Small hail has occurred in some storms near the tristate region, but the general hail concern should diminish as the evening progresses.  The cold front will bring in another drying and cooling trend, with overnight lows in the low 40s northwest areas to the low 50s southeast.  With increasing sunshine, highs will get back into the low to mid 60s with occasional gusts.  This week is appearing mainly dry and cool from Tuesday onward, as at least two more cold fronts reinforce and even intensify the cold air sources, triggering  a few freezing morning within the next seven days.
