MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

After some locations received multiple inches of rain over the weekend, we will get a couple of days to at least partially dry out from the excess rainfall.  A portion of a high-pressure system moves of the northern two-thirds of the region, allowing for noticeable clearing and drying (in terms of lower humidity).  Leftover clouds and moisture will hug coastal areas, keeping sunshine somewhat reduced Tuesday.  Showers are unlikely except for offshore areas.  Lows tonight range from the low 50s inland to low 60s at the shore.  Highs will peak in the mid 70s to low 80s.  The high swiftly moves into a position to tap into vast moisture.  That, along with the next front later in the week, will increase chances for thunderstorms by Thursday afternoon, with widespread rain and storms possible Friday.
