Storm Team Friday evening forecast (07/05/2013)

Happy Friday! Unfortunately more rain is likely for the weekend.

We saw a little bit more sunshine today but still saw a lot of storms and showers across the FL panhandle and southern Georgia areas. There is a still a good chance for more rain tonight especially before the sun sets. Lingering clouds and moisture from the corridor of tropical moisture that has been over us the past few days will keep lows mild in the lower-mid 70s. Watch for patchy fog in the early morning hours...low beams on!

Tomorrow there is a 60% chance for showers and storms especially in western areas. Eastern areas will be seeing a bit more sunshine. Highs will be in the lower to mid 80s in western areas and upper 80s in eastern zones. Areas that don't see rain tomorrow will still see a lot of clouds and certainly be feeling the high humidity as the tropical moisture moves to our west very slowly.

Starting next week we will be introducing some drier air in the mid-upper levels of the atmosphere which will bring our rain chances back to seasonable.
