Storm Team Tuesday evening forecast (06/18/2013)

Posted

A good deal of moisture and ample heating has driven isolated to widely scattered afternoon and evening storms over the central and eastern Big Bend, while spotty thunder over southeast Alabama is poised to impact interior sections of south Georgia later this evening.  Like yesterday, many areas may escape measurable rain altogether, but locations that receive rain might experience hefty downpours.  A cold front still lurks across the Deep South and its gradual southern movement will spread better opportunities for rain and thunderstorms throughout the region Wednesday through Friday at least.  Lows tonight will fall into the low to mid 70s, and highs tomorrow may be capped to around 90 degrees with building clouds and off-and-on periods of showers and storms.  Severe weather chances are quite small Wednesday.
