Storm Team Tuesday evening forecast (04/02/2013)

Posted

After a day full of clear sky and bright afternoon sun, we'll go into a cloudier transition overnight with a developing low-pressure storm system taking shape over the southern Plains, poised to move eastward into the northern Gulf region.  Local winds become more east and southeast, and, with the advancing weather system, clouds will form early Wednesday and showers will follow by afternoon.  Lows tonight will fall into the mid and lower 50s early, then highs climb back into the low and mid 70s despite lesser amounts of sun.  Thursday, we'll experience the highest impact of the system with an overcast sky, periods of heavy rain, and some embedded storms.  A few storms may contain wind gusts.  We will monitor for other severe weather possibilities.  Clearing occurs just in time for the weekend, with seasonable temps in the forecast.
