Storm Team Tuesday afternoon forecast (01/14/2014)

Posted

Drier air has arrived and cleared the sky, but just a modest amount of colder air has come with it.  A starlit sky is expected this evening and overnight as temperatures fall to seasonable levels.  Minimum temps will reach the upper 30s in most inland locations.  We’ll start Wednesday with a mainly clear sky, then add a few clouds in the afternoon as the next in a series of cold fronts arrives.  Much colder air will follow the front for the remainder of the week, but even before it comes, highs will be limited to the mid 50s to around 60°.  A light freeze is probable Thursday morning, and again over the weekend with another front.  Scattered clouds and an isolated shower will be in the forecast, but in most cases, we’ll remain quite dry and cool through early next week.
