TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — We have our fifth named tropical storm of the season.

Tropical Storm Edouard has sustained wind speeds of about 40 mph. The storm is about 530 miles south of Newfoundland. Little to significant change in strength is forecast before Edouard is forecast to become post-tropical later today or tonight.

Edouard was the earliest 5th named storm in Atlantic Hurricane Season history. The storm does not pose any threat to land.
