Tynisa Senior joined the ABC 27’s team as a summer intern as a part of the E.W. Scripps Company program. The program gives her the opportunity to hone her skills in the newsroom and get real-life experiences.
She calls Miami, Fla. home where she attends Florida International University (FIU) in pursuits of a Bachelor of Science in Digital Communication and Media studies and a minor in Social Media and E-Marketing Analytics. At FIU she reports and writes digital stories for Caplin News, her proudest being an investigative piece she wrote called “Guilty until proven innocent: The Wrongful Conviction of Thomas Raynard James Part 1 & 2”.
She has aspired to be a journalist since middle school and has been working hard to fulfill her dreams and make her younger self proud ever since. She is set to graduate at the end of this year and looks forward to her next chapter of being in the community helping to tell your stories.
While she’s only in the Tallahassee area for a short while, feel free to connect with her on social media. Even if it’s just to say “Hello” or share some advice on places she should visit during her stay.
