LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — UPDATE 9:25 p.m.: According to a Florida Highway Patrol report released Wednesday night, at 3 p.m. Wednesday, a 43-year-old female driver of a sports utility vehicle was traveling north on Springhill Road and for unknown reasons crossed the centerline into the southbound lane.
The SUV collided head on with a Ford truck driven by a 41-year-old male of Crawfordville.
According to the FHP report, the driver of the SUV, who was from Crawfordville, was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the driver of the Ford truck was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Wakulla County Fire and EMS, the Tallahassee Fire Department, the Leon County EMS and the Leon County Sheriff's Office also responded to the scene.
The report notes both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Multiple law enforcement agencies have responded to an accident at the intersection of Springhill Road and O.H. Hudson Lane in Leon County Wednesday afternoon.
The Leon County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday afternoon that it was assisting the Florida Highway Patrol with a two-vehicle accident in the area of Bloxham Cutoff.
The sheriff’s office noted roads are shutdown in both directions due to the accident.
