TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Soccer Club has had quite the summer. In their very first season, they've punched their postseason ticket. Now they're fighting for home field advantage once those playoffs start. It's a one match at a time mentality though, and the match this team is focused on is the final one of the regular season this weekend.
Port City on the road is the final obstacle for the Battle Lions, and they control their own destiny. A win and hosting the playoffs becomes a serious possibility, something that is exciting heading in.
"We have a good group of guys that really want to come out here and work," said Joseph Grave de Peralta. "We push each other and we don't like losing. Winning makes it a lot easier. We come out ehre twice a week and work as hard as we can and winning really helps that a lot."
"To play a playoff game here, that'd be everyone's dream," added Aron Wimberly. "To play in front of a thousand fans and bring everyone here, to show them quality soccer, that'd be great."
Saturday's match-up at Port City is set for an 8:00/ET start.
