WASHINGTON, DC (CNN/RNN) - A White House picture is drawing backlash on social media as many voiced their criticism for its predominantly white class of spring 2018 interns.
The photo, released Friday, shows President Donald Trump posing with the 91-member class.
Many online couldn't help but point out the apparent lack of diversity.

The White House didn't respond to CNN's request for comment.
People ages 18 and older can apply for the White House internship program, which runs quarterly. The deadline for applications for the fall 2018 program is May 4.
In addition to a completed application, applicants are required to have two recommendation letters.
According to the summer 2018 internship application page, "applicants are selected based on their demonstrated commitment to public service, leadership in the community, and commitment to the Trump Administration."
