Video: Men invade home

HOUSTON (KTRK/CNN) - Dramatic video shows a group of men break into a home.

The homeowner, who woke up from a nap a month ago to the home invasion, said he thought he was going to die.

He's sharing his story, and the surveillance video, in hopes police can catch the men who so violently entered his house.

"I just saw three masked men coming through my door with guns," he said.

The entry was violent: a battering ram to break down the door.

Once inside, the violence didn't let up.

"They were stepping on top of me and kicking me and hitting me with the pistol on top of my head. They put scissors to my fingers and said, 'Where's the money?'" said the homeowner, who asked to remain anonymous.

The five men, dropped off by a driver in a light-colored Mazda SUV, tied him up and stole cash, jewelry, guns and designer bags.

"They began to put a pillow over my head, and I know there was a gun over my head as well. I made my peace," the homeowner said.

In about 25 minutes, they were gone.

"I just wanted my life," the homeowner said.

"These people targeted this individual in a very sophisticated way," said Mike Knox, a Houston City Council member. "Absolutely, it's a gang. Which gang, I don't know."

Knox, a gang expert, said at the very least, these men are part of a street gang with sophisticated tactics.

"Some of them are actually police tactics," he said.

"It just seemed too organized. They seemed like professionals," said the homeowner, who has since moved out his home out of fear.

They hope their home surveillance video helps police find the men who terrorized them.

"It's not the type of people you want on the streets," he said.
