A Costco in Greenville, SC was the center of a fight over line cutting and cheese samples between two 70-year-old men, according to police.

The Greenville Police Department says no arrests have been made in the July 26 incident which started when a 70-year-old man said he was waiting in line for "complimentary cheese" when his new enemy, a 72-year-old man cut in line for a slice and walked off.

"The 70-year-old was still upset about being cut in front of, and according to the incident report, he told the other man that 'he could get in front of him because he knew he would just cut the line anyway,'" Greenville PD wrote on Facebook Wednesday

"I will do it again," the 72-year-old told the other man.

"You're a jerk," the 70-year-old man retorted.

A fight of some kind ensued - over free cheese at a Costco. The incident report says the line-cutter his the other man in the head, knocking his glasses off.

Greenville Police Department Public Affairs Manager Donald B. Porter said officers spoke with both men, "but there are inconsistencies in their stories." Mainly, as the incident report states, no marks on the 70-year-old man's head when a police officer photographed him.

"We are working with Costco to get surveillance footage of the incident to help in the investigation," Porter said via email. "No arrests have been made at this time."
