(CNN) - Actress Heather Locklear was hospitalized Thursday after crashing her car into a ditch.
The accident happened in Thousand Oaks, California, a city near Los Angeles, just before evening.
Police said Locklear was not seriously hurt, and alcohol and drugs were not a factor.
Locklear is well known for her roles on "Melrose Place" and "T.J. Hooker."
