TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – For the 20th time in program history, the Florida State volleyball team will head to the NCAA Tournament, where it will take on Washington State in the first round. This appearance marks a program-record ninth straight appearance under head coach Chris Poole since he took over the program in 2008.

The Seminoles (18-10, 12-8 ACC) will head to Lincoln, Nebraska to face the Cougars (17-15, 6-14 Pac-12) on Friday, December 1 at 5:30 pm (EST). This is the first time in program history FSU and WSU will meet.

The Seminoles have gone 18-21 all-time at the NCAA Tournament since former head coach Cecile Reynaud led FSU to its first tournament appearance in 1983. Florida State has posted a 16-8 postseason mark under Poole, making five Sweet 16 appearances (2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016), two Elite Eight’s (2009, 2011) and an appearance at the Final Four in 2011.

Florida State is led statistically by Milica Kubura (372 K, 3.61 K/S, 848 TA), Taryn Knuth (.311 PCT, 22 BS, 158 BA, 1.50 B/S), Brianne Burkert (894 A, 8.51 A/S) and Cecilie Woie (445 D, 4.24 D/S).
