Valdosta, Ga. – Valdosta State invites all area children to attend their upcoming football game, Saturday September 28th, against the Angelo State Rams. Children have the opportunity to experience a college football game as the Blazers hosts NCAA Football's eighteenth annual "Take A Kid to the Game" (TAKG) program presented by Coca-Cola and sponsored by Corporate Champions AT&T and Capital One.  Kids, ages fourteen and younger, will receive a free ticket with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket, to watch the Blazers take on the Rams at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium.

Valdosta State is one of more than 200 schools across the nation that host a game in this campaign focused on allowing youth the opportunity to attend college football games.  The Take A Kid to the Game program is entering into its sixteenth year in the promotion of collegiate athletics.

"We encourage you to save the date.  Valdosta State is excited about this event where kids from the community will have a chance to be a part of our game day experience and support NCAA Football's Take A Kid to the Game program," says VSU Athletic Director Herb Reinhard.  "This game day experience is an opportunity for children to spend quality time with a parent or role model and learn about sportsmanship."

All children attending the event are encouraged to participate in the pre-game Junior Blazer Kids Run, where the Junior Blazers lead the VSU Football team onto the field, as well as the postgame Throw with the Blazers, in which youth are invited down to the field to catch passes from the Valdosta State quarterbacks.

Tickets for this special game, will become available Monday, September 23, and can be purchased at the Blazer ticket office.  For more information, contact Blazer Athletics at 333-SEAT.
