VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - A real, true National Champion is something that high school football teams have longed for for quite some time. With events like the Geico State Champions Bowl Series, we could be working closer to doing just that.

The Series pits four of the best teams in the country against each other, and on Tuesday, the Valdosta Board of Education voted to let the recently crowned AAAAAA State Champion Valdosta Wildcats travel to Texas to take on Chandler out of Arizona in that Series.

The game will be featured on ESPNU, and kick-off is set for 6:00 ET in Frisco, Texas at The Star, the Dallas Cowboys' indoor practice field. The Cats will leave Thursday for the game, but on Tuesday the 20th, Valdosta will celebrate their State Championship with a parade that starts at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium at 4:00.
