VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - It's not uncommon to see student-athletes from Valdosta High School sign athletic scholarships, especially when it comes to football. On Wednesday, three more Wildcats added their names to a long list of signees.

Three Valdosta High School football players put pen to paper this morning, and all three inked with Bluefield College in Bluefield, West Virginia.

Kendrick Patrick, a defensive end, Bruce Scott, who plays center, and John Bryant, also an offensive lineman said they can't wait to suit up next season. Head Coach Alan Rodemaker said he is excited his guys have a chance to continue their careers.

"For me and for our program, it's awesome anytime we can give a young man an opportunity to leave Valdosta," he said on Wednesday. "We had a class of 25 seniors this year and we've signed nine of those guys, so that's a pretty good ratio, almost half of our class signed college scholarships this year at Valdosta High School and that's outstanding for us and we just couldn't be more proud of a group of young men."

The Bluefield Rams play NAIA football in the Mid-South Conference.
