TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The 2013 Panhandle Conference season has been a bumpy ride for Tallahassee Community College’s men’s basketball team, but the Eagles will have the opportunity to go out on a winning note, extend a notable streak and make a piece of history in the process when it travels to Pensacola State College on Saturday for the season finale.

Tallahassee (14-13, 1-10 PC) and Pensacola State (18-11, 4-7) are scheduled for an 8:30 p.m. eastern tip. Women’s action will start the doubleheader at 6:30 p.m.

After learning it had picked up a victory by forfeit on Wednesday, Tallahassee’s record went from one game south of the .500 mark to 14-13. Now, a win on Saturday will clinch a 22nd consecutive winning season for the Eagles.

It would also be Tallahassee’s 500th NJCAA victory.

The Eagles’ first NJCAA win came on November 7, 1991, a 116-84 triumph over Bishop State (Ala.) Community College.

In Saturday’s women’s game, Tallahassee (14-11, 3-8) will go for the season sweep of Pensacola State (11-15, 0-11) and leave the Lady Pirates winless in conference play.
