Seminole softball banquet to be held on Sunday

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) – The Florida State softball team will celebrate its unfinished season filled with accomplishments on Sunday, May 12 at 6 p.m. on the third floor of the University Center Club on the FSU campus.

 

Seminole boosters and fans alike are invited to attend the annual banquet that honors the softball student-athletes, coaches and other members of the team. The cost is $23 per person and includes dinner. Business casual attire is recommended for the event.

 

Interested attendees may also sponsor a student-athlete on the Florida State softball team for $23. Those who are unable to make the season banquet still have the option to sponsor as well. Checks can be made payable to Seminole Boosters.

 

Florida State has highlighted its season thus far by winning the ACC regular-season title, finishing conference play with a school record 18 wins. It is the 11th time in school history that the Seminoles have finished with or tied for the best record in the ACC through the regular season.

 

The Seminoles’ standout campaign gives them the No. 1 seed heading into the ACC Tournament on May 9-11 that will also be held in Tallahassee. Florida State begins the conference tournament on Thursday, May 9 at 5 p.m. in a game that will air on ESPN3, theacc.com and can be seen by downloading the WatchESPN app on your mobile device.

 

Fans can purchase ACC Tournament passes, which provide the best value for watching every game, by logging on to Seminoles.com and clicking on the “Tickets” link. A tournament book includes one ticket for each day.
