TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State’s Megan Campbell earned a spot on TopDrawerSoccer.com’s Team of the Week after leading the third-ranked Seminoles to a pair of shutout wins over two of the ACC’s newest members last week.

Campbell registered the game-winning assist in overtime at Syracuse last Thursday when her long throw-in found the head of Dagny Brynjarsdottir for the golden goal in the 95th minute.

On Sunday, the native of Louth, Ireland this time used her feet to generate a goal as her long cross once again found the head of Brynjarsdottir for a goal to give the Seminoles a two-goal lead against Pitt.

Campbell was also part of a defensive effort that allowed just four shots including two shots on goal in the two games. In the win over Pitt, Campbell and the Seminoles did not allow a shot for just the fifth time in school history and first since performing the feat against Jackson State on September 21, 2012.

The junior defenders’ five assists is tied for the team lead while two have resulted in game-winners.

Campbell and the nationally ranked Seminole Soccer program are back in action this weekend when they host Maryland on Sunday, October 20 at 1:00 p.m.
