CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) - Former Miami quarterback Kyle Wright's testimony to the NCAA is part of the reason the Hurricanes want the case against their athletic department dismissed.

In the motion it filed last week with the NCAA's Committee on Infractions, Miami says it was repeatedly misled about the circumstances surrounding Wright's dealings with the NCAA, and that information he provided should not have been included in the notice of allegations the school received in February.

Miami's motion says Wright met with the NCAA in February 2012 and acknowledged receiving extra benefits from former booster Nevin Shapiro. Miami contends the NCAA would not have known about those benefits if not for the ill-gotten deposition of Sean Allen in December 2011.
