TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - It's been quite a four year span for the Lincoln girls basketball team. Last season, the Lady Trojans made it to the Elite Eight for the first time in school history. This year, they won that Regional Final and will appear in the State Final Four for the very first time.

They're not going down to Lakeland just to have fun. This group is in it to win it. The Lady Trojans face Winter Haven on Friday in the Class 8A State Semifinals, and the team is feeling good as they head into a big weekend.

""I think it's still surreal about the whole situation itself," laughed head coach Rod Mack. "I think this morning it really kicked in for me that we're really going to Lakeland. I've treated every game like it's a Final Four game and we've tried to keep that focus with the rest of the girls. I think it's really sinking in now."

"Everybody's like you're going to win it!" said senior Ariel Young. "There's been a lot of high fives, pat on the back, a lot of people I don't even know are telling us congratulations. Everybody seems excited about it."

Lincoln takes the floor at 2:00 on Friday in the Semifinals. If they win they will play Saturday for the Class 8A State Championship.
