CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. (WTXL) — In Crawfordville, a special day for Wakulla senior volleyball stand-out Madison Evans, the outside hitter signed with Life University Wednesday.

Life University is an NAIA program in Marietta, Ga.

Evans says she's thankful for the opportunity to play at the next level and admits it took a lot of work to get to this point, but couldn't be more excited for the next chapter.

"I didn't really believe in myself, but it took the people around me and someone reaching out of nowhere, especially during COVID and the coach e-mailing me, telling me he wanted me to come," said Evans. "It was really crazy, and it gave me that confidence to think wow, I could actually be here at that level. I worked hard and I'm just glad it's finally here."

Evans said she wants to major in physical training.
