MONTICELLO, Fla. (WTXL) — Friday was a good day to be a Tiger at Jefferson County, as the community celebrated not one, but two football players who are off to play at the next level.
Ja'Quan Coasey and Detrevian Nealy both signed with Florida Memorial University, an NAIA program in Miami. Both acknowledge they worked hard to get here, and now they're ready to take the next step together.
"We've been playing football together since we were in diapers," said Coasey. "We already know we can do it on the field together. We're going to take over."
"It's like you're accomplishing your dreams," added Nealy. "We all grew up together playing football together in the front yard. It's just very exciting."
