THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) - The Thomasville High football team started the year 0-3, but the Bulldogs turned things around. The youth grew up and the upperclassmen started to lead. The 'Dawgs finished the rest of their season 6-1, winning a Region title along the way.

With that Region crown comes home field advantage in the postseason, and at Memorial Stadium is where this team will be Friday night as they begin their journey to a State title.

"We started out this year and that's where, again, it goes back to the leadership amongst the team themselves that they were, we started out 0-3 and they didn't let anybody falter," said head coach Zach Grage. "We kept everybody in the program, we kept everybody around, we restarted our engines right there before region time. Everyone knows 4-0, six of our last seven games, we're feeling good about it, now we have to restart again for this playoff run."

Thomasville hosts Dodge County on Friday night in the first round of the AA playoffs.
