THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) — High school basketball playoffs are gearing up in Southern Georgia and over in Thomasville, the Bulldogs are putting the finishing touches on their postseason game plans.

The girls will tip-off tonight at home against Laney and the boys will do the same Wednesday night against Putnam County.

The Packers will be step number one in their quest to repeat the success of the 2018 Thomasville squad who captured the AA state championship. Bulldog fans will be happy to know that head coach Ben Tillman sees a lot of similarities within this year’s team.

He says the only thing that would keep them from bringing back a state title, is themselves.

“I think this team has the same kind of cohesiveness and I think that’s what we’re really looking for. If we can get everyone to understand to just do your role and continue to work hard for each other and to not let the next play go by without giving 110 percent on that play, I think we’ll be fine," Tillman told ABC 27. "This team has definitely been able to do that so far and so we just want to continue that process.”
