LIVE OAK, Fl. (WTXL) - Monday was day one of week three of spring practice for high school football teams in the state of Florida. At Suwannee High, the Bulldogs are coming off their first playoff appearance since 2015.
Head coach Kyler Hall enters his fourth season at the helm of his alma mater, and he says this year's team is the most experienced as far as leaders and returning starters go. He said the Bulldogs are ready to use what they learned last season as motivation for 2019.
"Anytime you get some playoff experience with a young group, it's a good thing," he said. "We ran into Trinity Christian which kind of speaks for itself, but I think it taught our guys a lot, taught us a lot as coaches. We're going to build off of what we did last year, but our guys know what it feels like now. We want to win the playoffs, we want to win a District Championship, and now it's kind of the beginning stages of that."
Suwannee hosts Ridgeview for the spring game. Kickoff is at 7:30 on May 17th.
