TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — North Florida Christian distance runner David Keen saw his senior year cut short as track, prom, graduation, and senior field trips were taken away.
Now, Keen is using that as motivation for the future.
For as long as he can remember, North Florida Christian's David Keen has wanted to be a South Florida Bull.
"I remember the night he gave me the call and I was so excited," said Keen.
David's dream is going to happen.
"That's my dream school since freshman year," Keen said.
With the way his senior season as an Eagle ended, he's had plenty of motivation to work hard for the future.
"Ever since then, I've held myself to a certain standard," said Keen. "I need to be here, I need to do this. That's just getting off the couch, playing video games. It's like okay, I'm a college athlete now. This is not what college athletes do."
He's a college athlete on a mission.
Keen is going to major in Biomedical Sciences at USF with the goal of one day working in sports medicine.
