TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - There an elite club in basketball called the 1,000 point club. On Tuesday night, the North Florida Christian girls program celebrated a new member, Alexsis Thomas.
Thomas has played on Varsity for the Eagles since her 8th grade season, and on Tuesday, the program celebrated her accomplishment, as well as her senior night. Of sealing her spot in Eagle history? She's thankful to provide a good example for her younger teammates.
"I feel like it inspires me a lot because I feel like I need to encourage them to be good just like me in basketball," she said."I want other people to hit this mark too and I feel like they can work hard to get here like I did. I'm gonig to keep working and I feel like this is a good opportunity."
