TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — If you're a high school sports fan, this is the time of year you live for. Playoffs for soccer in Florida, play-offs for basketball across Florida and Georgia, and everyone is chasing state titles.

The Maclay boys soccer team is three wins away from a state championship, and after falling short in the title game in 2018 and in 2020, they're looking to seal the deal this season. The Marauders travel to St. Johns Country Day Tuesday for the 2A regional final, and they're focused and ready for a good game.

"We always have a battle. It's a great rivalry," said head coach Andy Warner. "We'd like to play them here because we've been unbeaten here for several years, but it'll be a good battle over there. It's a smaller field. We'll adapt. We know the environment, we know the team. It'll be a great battle."

The Marauders are our only Big Bend boys team still playing. Kickoff is set for 7:00 at St. Johns Country Day.
