CLINCH COUNTY, Ga. - WTXL — The Clinch County football team, big winners in this past weekend's second round of the GHSA playoffs, begin the process of shifting their focus to the elite eight where Lincoln County awaits them.
And what the Panthers will take with them to next week’s contest is another affirmation that they can perform under pressure in late game situations. Moving forward it’ll be the experience of playing in those types of scenarios that will benefit this Panthers squad in their quest for a state title.
"Man just all year long, we been playing fourth quarter games. You know we have had a tough schedule, man like last week, we went to overtime and before that it was a tough game, playing a tough region," says Clinch County head football coach Don Tison. "So really I tribute this coming down to the the wire in the fourth quarter, this tough game and a team like this. Great Pelham team, we've been here before, didn't panic and played good ball".
