TALLAHASSEE — Apalachee Regional Park played host this weekend to the FSU pre-state cross country invitational.

The very best of the best from the Sunshine State made their way to Tallahassee for the pre-state meet invitational to kick off the cross country season. Race director Amanda Heidecker couldn’t have been more pleased to see a great weekend wrap up with nothing but positive energy.

“It’s kind of been a long time coming we haven’t hosted an event since March so we were really excited we were able to put this on for the kids, said Heidecker. "I think we had about 150 kids that entered within that 24-hour range so again it was very important for this community. For this economy to have this event here and again to build on it for the state championships in November.”
