TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Friday night, high school football teams across the state of Florida look to inch closer to State titles as Regional Quarter and Semifinals hit the field.
In Class 5A, the Godby Cougars are in the Quarterfinals and on the road for the second week in a row. This time with Ribault.
Head coach Brandon McCray says they're not afraid of the road, they actually like it and they're ready for an athletic Ribault squad.
Their main thing is taking care of themselves.
"Be who we are," said McCray. "We feel like that's a physical team, take chances, try to create turnovers. We feel like we have a lot of talent. We just had to take the time we didn't get in the off-season to come together and hopefully we're clicking on all cylinders right now."
Godby's match-up with Ribault is set for a 6 p.m. kick-off Friday night in Jacksonville.
