TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Flashback to one year ago, the Chiles girl’s soccer team was one win away from a state final four appearance as they fell short against Creekside. Fast forward to the present day, the Lady Timberwolves find themselves in the same exact situation.
Standing in their way this time around, a very talented Fleming Island squad.
Chiles head coach Joe Ferris and his girls know it’ll take a nearly flawless game-plan to bring home the win in their elite eight matchup. But this bunch is embracing their underdog role in Tuesday night's contest on the road against the Golden Eagles. It's a chance to give this program some much-deserved recognition is their ultimate motivator
“From what I can tell, the players that they have are very capable, individually talented, they move well together as a team," said Ferris There’s no glaring weakness that we can see and it’s going to be a hard test for us, especially coming on the road to play such a talented team. But we'll go over and we’ll give it our best shot.”
Tuesday night's game in Fleming Island is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
