TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - For twenty minutes the Florida State women's basketball team went toe to toe with the number two ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish and refused to blink.
The second half was another story as the Irish pulled away for a 21 point win at the Tucker Center.
In a losing effort FSU point guard Cheetah Delgado established a new career high with 18 points to go along with six rebounds and four assists. Delgado now ranks 15th in school history for assists in just over one year with the team.
FSU senior forward Natasha added 11 points and eight rebounds. Howard’s third field goal make of the game gave her 600 for her career, joining FSU legends Sue Galkantas (919) and Tia Paschal (683) as the only players to reach the 600 plateau.
