TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State Athletics will host an open house at the FSU Indoor Tennis Facility on March 2. The event will run from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
In addition to welcoming the local tennis community into the excitement of indoor play, both FSU men’s and women’s tennis programs will interact with the public. Teams and staff are scheduled to sign posters, play with fans on court as well as answer questions about the facility.
More information on the facility will be handed out during the event. Admission is free and fans are encouraged to dress in athletic gear and bring their racquets. Light refreshments will also be served.
The Indoor Tennis Facility is located at 2566 Pottsdamer road, Tallahassee, Fla. 32316. It is next to the Morcom Aquatics Center and the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course.
Prior to the event on Saturday, The No. 25 ranked FSU women’s tennis team will host No. 18 Clemson on Friday, March 1 at 3 p.m. at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center. The No. 29 FSU men’s tennis team will also welcome No. 15 Texas at the same time.
Both men’s and women’s doubles matches will be played on the same side, before breaking off into the north and south sides for singles. The event is the second time in school history that both teams are playing matches at the same time.
