ATLANTA, Ga. (seminoles.com) – The scheduled matchup between No. 22 Florida State softball and Georgia Tech on Sunday afternoon at Shirley Clements Mewborn Field has been canceled due to inclement weather.

The contest will not be made up, giving the Seminoles a 39-15 overall record and an 18-2 record in ACC play. Florida State’s 18 victories in the ACC breaks a school record, but the possibility of tying the conference’s record of 19 wins held by Georgia Tech in 2010 is now over with the conclusion of the regular season.

The Seminoles will not play during the upcoming week in preparation for final exams. Florida State’s next contest will be on Thursday, May 9, as the Seminoles host the ACC Tournament at JoAnne Graf Field in Tallahassee. The top-seeded Seminoles play at 5 p.m. against the No. 8 seed on ESPN3 as well as theACC.com.
